SPECIALTY KIDS PROGRAMS with Susan Stewart
Kids Yoga Club (Ages 3 – 8)
Imagination and creativity is ignited and bodies are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d as yoga poses, breath exercises, partner poses and yoga games are introduced in a playful, friendly format. Music, props and tie-in craft projects add to the fun!
Classes end with visual imagery and relaxation exercises, introducing children to the power of quieting the mind for reflection and rejuvenation - often a busy child's favourite part of class!
Yoga is ideal by itself and can also serve as a wonderful complement to martial arts, dance or sports.
Preteen Yoga club (Ages 8- 13)
Come join the Yoga Club! Club members will experience an increased sense of body awareness while they build flexibility, physical strength, emotional balance, and self-confidence through this empowering program.
Classes include flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, partner poses, yoga games, discussions and relaxation techniques.
Journaling and special projects add to the fun!

Yoga for Teenagers (Ages 13 and up)
Yoga is all about living a healthy lifestyle. For teens, this means learning how to calm nerves as they prepare to take a test or present in front of their peers; it means reinforcing confidence, in particular as they forge and sustain friendships; it means learning body awareness in order to preserve positive self image as they adapt to their own changing bodies; it means continuing to develop their sense of self and self-worth, and learning to be true to who they really are.
Teen Yoga provides tools to guide children through these years of personal growth and self-discovery, focusing on asanas (poses), flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, partner poses, yoga games, discussions, journaling, relaxation techniques, meditation and yoga philosophy.
